Many thanks to our Vice Flight Captain, Colonel Todd (Sledge) Harmer for leading an excellent dinner meeting on 20 August.  The speaker, Colonel Larry Avery, Chief of Staff, Air Armament Center, did a masterful presentation, the food was excellent - best in many months I was told - thanks to Charlie Heifner, and we were able to induct two new young Daedalians.  Thanks Frank.

Our best to Sledge as he heads to the desert and some multi-national experience.  I look for Sledge to have a star in the not too distant future.  He has been an excellent source of help and guidance for me and was always ready to jump in and promote the flight and its purpose.  Have a safe journey Sledge, and always keep 'checking six'.

17 SEPTEMBER

Maj Gen CR Davis, Commander, Air Armament Center, will present us the latest and ever changing F-35 picture.  Gen Davis has been associated with the F-35 program since 2004 and if there is such a thing, is the expert on the JSF program.  He will also update us on the many other activities going on/and upcoming around the Eglin area.  Don't miss this opportunity!!!

Also, on the 17th, meet our new Vice Flight Captain, Colonel Bruce McClintock, 96 Air Base Wing Commander.  In his day job Bruce keeps the base humming and works to get everyone ready for the 7th Special Forces Group and JSF that will join our happy Team Eglin.  Welcome Bruce!!!
